Old School Red Eye! WOW!!!!! Did I really do all this?! O_o

Hey Peeps! It is once again bringing you another addition to my weird and wacky world BUT...Only this time it isn't anything new, it's actually my old Sketchbook work I've never shown the World to until now.

But first you guys may have noticed that I've now joined the Behance Network, a great place to showcase my Portfolio to the World. ;) As well this Blog please do keep up to date with my Behance Account too and feel free to Follow me there too. :) Now that my shameless promoting is over, onto what this latest Update is really about...

WOW!!!!! Seriously did I really do all this?! O_o I decided to take a long walk down Memory Lane today by skimming through all of my old Sketchbooks today and was just simply amazed by how much work I've actually done over my Years. O_o In fact all the Images I've Uploaded here (in no particular order) isn't even all of them, I've selected the ones I personally thought were/are the best. This sounds really bad but these very images I've Uploaded now I thought were pretty awful when I first made them but looking at them now they were actually really good! O_o I really do need to stop beating myself up and being so negative. >:(

What you also need to bare in mind is that compared to my work now these were all my Pre-Photoshop days. As you can tell by all of my new work I tend Sketch and shade my Illustrations first and then Upload them onto Photoshop to finish them off where as before it seems I used to actually experiment with different styles more and wasn't even afraid of doing them. As much as I love Photoshop to bits, there are some things however that just look so much better by hand. After seeing all this I really do want to go back to experimenting with the old Mediums again. Don't get me wrong that's not to say I quit Photoshop (don't be silly, I would never even DARE dream of doing such a thing :p) but I do think I need to start doing a little bit of both if I am to survive in this dog eat dog world business path.

And before I bring this latest Blog Post to a close I think I may start Uploading some of my old work in future so keep your eyes peeled. ;)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

GANTO Renaissance: The Revival Project

Hey Peeps! It is I once bringing you the latest developments of my creative life. :)

Remember "GANTO" anyone? Now many of you who know me will what I'm talking about for those who don't "GANTO" was the name of a short Film Project, that was very dear to me, I tried to make last year which unfortunately did not turn out how I wanted. :( However! Knowing full well popular story was to my Peers and just how much potential it had I've decided to re-visit this old project of mine and revive it! :D Although the current working Title will still be called "GANTO", I've decided to rename the project "GANTO Renaissance"...The sign for the Film's rebirth. I've also taken the liberty of beginning the Concept Art already as you can see below.

A rough Poster of the Film containing the 3 main characters we all know and love.

Well...Except Pubert of course, no one likes him haha! :D

(For the record he's not supposed to be liked BTW.)

I've also re-designed the Magical GANTO Drink of course. May have to re-design it again though since currently it looks too "Perfume" like. :)

Awwwwwwww! Cute, sweet little Cleo riding on the back of a "Magical" stuffed Fox. (For those who don't know, Cleo's the main Protagonist of the Film.)
And here's everyone's favourite Mentor Jonathan The Clown leaving the Magical "GANTO" Cave of wonders haha! :D Surely nothing bad will ever happen to him right? RIGHT?! O_o
Jonathan and Cleo! The World's two best buddies dancing together in errrrrm? Candyland? Wait! Isn't this Film supposed to be set in the London Underground? :/ Well what can I say? That's ze amazing power of GANTO for ya! ;)
Now this Revival Project can never be truly complete without it's most infamous, Lost Property obsessed Villain Pubert of course! ;) Pubert I'd say is the only one I've given a slight re-design to. As you can see I've given him a much more darker, menacing look and have slightly changed his body structure. I also took the liberty of adding a gigantic, demonic Snake just for "dramatic effect." Saying that I am considering giving him a Pet Snake now! O_o Don't think I'll make it too dominate though.
Awwwwwww cute! Who knew Jonathan's such an old romantic eh? ;) But truth be told the only reason why I drew this image is because Jonathan at the time was the only one not to have Concept Art involving an animal. Personally it just didn't seem right hence here cometh him romantically dancing with a beautiful Phunnix. :) This may shock those who know me but oddly enough this is actually my favorite "GANTO" Concept Art so far! O_o Yup! Moi's starting to get soft alright.
Jonathan in Angelic form playing to a beautifully lit moon in the sky accompanied by the Lyrics from "Bell, Book & Candle" sung by Eddi Reader. A beautiful song about death which is really sad yet comforting at the same time. I recommend it, it's really nice. :) Wow that was a little bit morbid. O_o

The next following images you are about to see are pretty much the same but only in Black & White instead of Coloured.

Whilst experimenting I accidentally coloured one of the images Black & White and discovered actually they colour wise they both work. Depending on where I go next with this Project I'll need to make a tough decision which Colour Scheme to go for.

Animation style wise the Project originally began in traditional hand drawn, however, as much as I LOVE this technique and undeniably will always be my first love no matter what, after much consideration I've decided try out a different medium and will now make this into a stop-motion film. That's not to say traditional hand drawn will be completely be off the radar though for experiment wise I do plan on using a variety of mixed medias BUT in the mean time stop-motion will be my main priority.

Style wise I plan for it to be a very surreal, weird, dark but fun Film people will sit back on and enjoy. I'm even considering going down a Musical route with this. It'll probably end up being a mixture of "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "The Phantom Of The Opera", and old style cartoons such as the Music Video of "Ghost Of Stephen Foster" by the Squirrel Nut Zippers.

As well as Projects I will be keeping regular updates of how "GANTO Renaissance" doing but just so you know that unlike the Squirrel this Project will be taking a lot longer to be complete. First of all I need to gather a team to help me make this. Secondly this Project will not be cheap therefore I'll need to work extra hard to save up. Thirdly and truth be told I really don't know what's going to happen to me or how my Schedule will be like in future. Depending on all three I'm hoping to go into Full Production next Year either Spring earliest OR Summer latest and that is best case scenario. The worst case will be that it may take even longer but either way I refuse to give up! I know how risky this Revival Project but it is a risk I am prepared to take. This will either make or break me but I'll never know the answer unless I take it. We only live once so might as well do something we REALLY want to achieve rather then sit on our bums moaning how hard and rubbish life is wondering: "Why didn't I do this? Why didn't I do that?"

That's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D And wish me luck! :)

Moi's Tribute To The Awesome Peter Falk... :)

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you a new Bloggy Update...But only this time on a slightly sadder note (as you can obviously see from my latest Title). :(

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last couple of days many of you should've by now have heard about the sad news of Peter Falk's Passing. Being an Actor Peter Falk has appeared in many Films/Television Series but the one Character many of us know and love him for is the cigar smoking, trench coat wearing, clumsy but loveable one eyed Detective with a crappy Police Dog and messy Car named Lieutenant Columbo.

When I was kid there were many TV shows my Parents watched which I used to yell from the top of my Lungs "BORING!!!!!" before sodding off to play with my Toy Dinosaurs but "Columbo" on the other hand was an exception; it was the only show I along with my Siblings used to actually sit down with my Parents to watch! O_o Of course the older I became, the more I appreciated "Columbo" and still do to this day. Hell I'll even go as far as to say it is without a doubt (in my opinion) the best Detective Series of all time. Unlike the other Detective Series which frankly I find too repetitive with their "Whodunnit" cliches and the murderer ALWAYS turning out to be the "most nicey, wicey person in the World who wouldn't dare hurt a fly" least suspected person (yeah didn't see that coming), "Columbo" on the other hand; was (and still is) a lot more original, witty and well written series with a really likeable main character carrying the show throughout. We know who the killers are but because they're so clever with how they killed their victims it was the question of how does Columbo figure it out? Of course once he says his famous Catchphrase "Just one last thing..." we know he's figured it out. ;) It's one of the few Shows I can watch it over again and never get bored of it.

Now onto the Actor Peter Falk...When I heard the news about his death I decided to read up more about his life and I have to say I was quite fascinated with what I read. He declared himself an Actor at age 29 and decided to pursue his dream. Despite Hollywood being a jerk to him at first, he refused to give up and oh behold look who had the last laugh! :D If anything this has just made me respect him even more. Peter Falk is/was living proof of no matter how old you are or how you look like, as long as you work really hard, carry on pursuing your dream and refuse to give up it WILL pay off.

So to bring this Blog to a close, Peter Falk...I salute you! R.I.P. fantastic Actor, you truly have indeed earned it and forever shall both you and Lieutenant Columbo live on in our hearts and memories for all eternity. Hope you like my above Illustration Tribute. :)

OH! And just one last thing...We all know you're secretly an Angel really! ;)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

What does the future hold for this poor unfortunate Soul? Craaaaazaaaaaay Doodle Of Hope has ze answers! :p

Hey Peeeeeeeeps! It is I once again bringing more news from my weird, wacky, wonderful World! :D

First of all I am please to announce that the Film "Bitter Critter" has finally been completed BUT...I'm not going to Upload it mwahahahaha! >:D Well...Not yet anyway. I'm going to be entering it into Film Festivals first so you lovely people may not be able to finally see it for some time.

Secondly I need to talk about the future. I'm now on my way out from Uni and will be facing the big, bad, scary World out there for the first time on my own. I'm not going to lie, I am nervous of what my Future will be. In fact I'm currently trying to gather ideas of what to do next to keep carrying doing what I want in my life which is animation and illustration (obviously).

Remember the original Craaaazaaaay Doodle I illustrated with Joshua Kahan? Well I decided to go back to the image to colour  it and here's the result!

Look at it...Isn't it purrrrrrrty? All he, she or it ever needed was a bit of Make-Up. :'( So screw you Beautiful.Com! Trudie is waaaaaaay more beautiful than you arrogant, vain losers will ever be.

Errrrrr? Yeah I've decided to name the Craaaazaaaay Doodle Trudie! :D Such a nice name don't you think? ;) As well as the above I also took the liberty of trying out different colour schemes for our Dear beloved Trudie.

But wait what has Trudie got to do with this latest Update? Well truth is when I first drew this I was in one of my down moods and oddly enough this really cheered me up. Despite this Doodle not being drawn in my normal personal style I still get fascinated everytime I look at it and would even consider this one of my best Illustrations. Which is why I've decided from this day on to call Trudie my Craaaaazaaaaay Doodle Of Hope! :D Whenever in future I begin to feel down/upset/depressed I shall always look upon Trudie to guide me out of my dark place. *Sniff* :') I also plan to animate this to see what it'll be like alive so watch this space!

AND NOW...Moving on! :p As many of you know by now I've been studying animation for 3 Years and now that I'm nearly finished I plan to continue down this path. Below is my brand new Showreel of 2011 featuring the highlights of my animated pieces of work so far including a few scenes from my latest Film "Bitter Critter" so Fans of Lucius The Squirrel take a sneak peak at how the Film looks like ;).

But what now? What's going to happen to moi? Well fear not my darling Peep Peeps I am NOT going anywhere! This is the path I've chosen and I shall stick to it! Hell I've even taken the liberty of writing this "To Do" List below... (Note: The priorities are in no particular order.)

I have deliberately made this "To Do" List Public for the entire World to see, therefore, I've got absolutely NO excuse to back out now! I have to stick to this whether I like it or not and you lovely lot have the right to pull me up and question whether I've achieved any of these personal goals in yet to come.

And now to bring about my final conclusion for this latest Update as the below image explains...

Yes that's right Peep Peeps, Uni life may be over but now this New Chapter in my life is only the beginning. If I want things to happen I've got to make them happen, it's all up to me now...AS GOD AS MY WITNESS I SHALL SUCCEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Awwwwwwww damn! I want to ride on Pegasus now. :'( Hey I've just had a "bright" idea! I shall illustrate myself riding Pegasus! :D And what's more I'm going to give Pegasus 5 Heads just to be more "original" haha! ;D Yes! think I'll do just that! :p Looks my future is looking bright already. ;)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D In the not too distant future of course! ;p

Get Ready Everyone...Lucius' Day Is Rising Upon Us! :D (And Shout-Out)

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you the latest development to the Squirrel Project and I am pleased to announce the Film is nearly finished and I am now at my Editing Stage! :D

I'm not going to go into too much details but below are a couple images I'd like to share...

The above Image is my Movie Style Poster which I must add isn't finished yet but I'll worry about that after I've actually finished the Film. :p

And the above 2 Images are the Screen Grabs from the Film so far and what they're about well I'm NOT going to tell you that...You'll just have to wait and see. ;p

And in case you're wondering the Backgrounds are done by non other than the brilliant Salomeja Marcauskaite who herself is also an Animator/Illustrator so if you like do look her up. :)

I'd love to chat some more but right now I'm terribly busy Editing my Film and with so little time to do it I hope you all appreciate this little time out I've taken just to Update this for you all.

So that's all for now folks and until next time...

Almost...THERE!!!!! :D

Hey Peeps! It is I bringing you the latest developments of our favourite bitter critter Lucius The Squirrel! :D

As you all know I'm still in full Animation Production and as you can all see from my Linked Vimeo Video I'm half way done (Animation wise)! :D

Of course some of the Scenes you've seen already whereas the majority you haven't. I aim to finish ALL my Animation by this Friday so that moi will be able to begin and complete the clean-ups, colouring and editing ASAP! O_o Bear in mind that I've only got 4 Weeks left to complete this baby so please my fellow Friends and Followers do wish me luck! :)

And before I bring this latest beauty to a close I've got just got 1 word to say...Josiah!

Wait! What's this you ask? What's with the name Josiah? Well...If you remember my previous Illustration from Months back involving a Mutant Vampire (as can be seen here and here) I've just come up with a brand new Character which kind of involves re-working on the Mutant Vampire. It's like my "ideal" man you could say. Good God you guys must be thinking I've gone insane O_o and you're right I have, only someone truly insane would think of this as an "ideal" man (hey at least I admit it ;p)! But...Why name him Josiah? Because I LOVE giving my Characters random names when they clearly don't suit them...It's funny! :D Don't know when but look out for Josiah in the future! ;)

And that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

Lucius...Let There be LIFE!!!!! :D

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you the latest developments on our lovely but bitter Friend Lucius The Squirrel.

Of course as many of you know by now I am indeed currently in full Production so instead of still images I'm going to give you a few Sneak Peaks at a couple of the Animations Tests I've done so far.

The 1st footage above are 2 of the most craziest Scenes in the film which I actually Animated first. As you know it's ALWAYS best to  get the hard scenes out the way, saves all of the hassle and panic attacks for later on. ;) Personally I'm really pleased with how they've turned out! Don't know my own strength. :)

The 2nd footage above are one involving a Lip Synch scene (no sound BTW) and the latter a "creepy crawl". I quite like how the Lip Synch  scene turned out, all it really needs is some In-betweens and it's done! :) But the "creepy crawl" on the other hand I'm not quite sure about. In fact I don't think it even worked to be honest. :/ Either it needs more In-betweens OR I may have to Animate it all over again. Ugh! HATE it when that happens. >:(

The 3rd and final footage involves 2 different hand Scenes and 1 of Lucius laughing. Just like the first footage I also feel the above works pretty well. What's especially interesting is the fact that Lucius laughing and the muscular hand are both only 3 Frames each! O_o Just goes to show you don't need to Animate tons of pictures to get a brilliant movement haha! :D Now the creepy hand obviously had a lot of Frames (I think it's 30 Frames if memory serves me right but I'm not quite sure) but of course Scenes do indeed need more Frames then others and besides...Whenever you see the final result it's just so worth it so it's no biggie at all.
Starting to feel a little more positive about this Project now. :)

Now some of you guys may remember that there was a Dog involved in this Film right? Well I have just given him a massive Re-Design and the bottom images are the results! :)

A Dog who you could say is indeed shamelessly in touch with his feminine side :p haha! :D I've even taken the liberty of giving him a name and it shaaaaaaall beeeeeeeeeee....*Drum Roll" BUTCH!!!!! :D

But...What has Butch got to do with this Film you ask? Like I'm going to tell you! :p You're all going to have to wait till the Film is finished. ;)

Now that my latest Blog Update time is done, moi needs to get back to Animating ASAP O_o  so that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

"The Origin Of Sloth" And The Latest Developments Of Our Favorite Bitter Critter

Heeeeeeeeey Peeeeeeeeeeps! It is I once again bringing you more latest developments in the craaaazaaaay World of MOI!!!!! :D

Remember Months back when I did The 7 Deadly Sins how I wasn't too comfortable with Sloth's original Colour Scheme and considered testing out a more Brownish/Owlish type Colour instead?

Although the original Purplish/Blueish Colour Scheme HAS indeed grown on me now however, I've decided to give it a go anyway and VOILA!!!!! Here is ze result! :D

I've got to say it truly is amazing how much difference Colours make but of course I'm pretty damn sure you don't need me tell you that eh? ;p

Another reason I've done this is because today I'm taking a small break from the Squirrel thus now's a good time to work on some of my future projects and in this case "The Origin Of Sloth" which I plan to make as a way to introduce "The 7 Deadly Sins" Villians into a Series I've ALWAYS dreamt about making since I was young (which I'm still trying to work on, got to get the Story right first afterall).

"The Origin Of Sloth" will also be taking on a much more serious tone unlike my of other Stories which whilst the tones were/are still Dark BUT they had fun elements of humour within. I admit this WILL be a challenge since "serious" Stories isn't really my thing and just tend to really depress me to be honest :/ but hey what can you do? We've ALL got to try something different every now and again if we want to survive in this Creative Industry.

Speaking of the Squirrel I have of course officially gone into Production now! :D Here are the current Animation Tests!

After so many changes and tweaks I've decided to just go for it now and if I do need to make changes I can just do it during Production since changes DO indeed happen from time to time during production anyway.

I'll try and keep you all Updated on it's progress as much as possible but as you all know Animation is really time consuming so I'll be very, VERY busy.

Also bare in mind I've only got 2 Months to complete this so I'll be spending my whole Easter Holidays working on this (no rest for the wicked O_o) so please wish moi luck!

That's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D
