It's Doodle Time: Bloody Clichés! >:( And minor BAA Update/Treat...

Aloha Peeps! It is I once again bringing you more Doodles from the vortex of my brain to entertain you all. ;)

In this latest addition I'd like to discuss my views on clichés. You can not escape clichés, they're all around us in life, especially in films and television shows. Sometimes they could be good for the storyline and sometimes they could be bad. Either way I'm not going to lie, the vast majority of clichés REALLY annoy me! So much so I end up either rolling my eyes at them thinking to myself "not this cheesy shite again" or just simply take the piss out of them, the latter being what I prefer (and what I'm about to do in this update). In fact I'd even go as far and say that taking the piss actually helps me enjoy the films/television shows more oddly enough. Like I said, there are loads of clichés which annoy me but these are the four I've decided to discuss (and since it's near Halloween I've decided to include a couple of monsters within them too):

1. The "give me the diamond" cliché

Well, the item of value is not always necessary a diamond but I've decided to use this as an example. The hero is put into a difficult dilemma after the villain has held his friends (who are usually the mentor and the love interest) hostages and frightens to kill them if the hero doesn't give him what he wants; leaving the hero to make an extremely tough decision. Observe...
Idiotically gives him the diamond despite his friends' protests...
Oh my God I didn't see that one coming(!) Ugh! >:( OK, the psycho villain spends the entire film killing everyone just to get what he wants and the moron hero honestly believed he'd have a change of heart now just for two people? Puh-Lease! Moving on...

2. The "I'm way ahead of you" cliché

God I how I hate this one. It's a case of one character coming up with a great idea with the other character trying to claim he already had that idea all along with their stupid "I'm way ahead of you" speech which is clearly bull. If that was the case why didn't they do it or hell even mention it sooner? In my humble opinion, it's just a case of a character trying to sound smarter than he is, what's even sadder is that I'm the only one who ever seems to question it. Observe...
Err...Nooooooooooo! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! NO!!!!! Triple no! You sir were clearly NOT "way ahead" of him! If you were soooooo ahead of him, this is how it should've been; observe...
There, MUCH better! :D You certainly were way ahead of him, well done. Moving on...

3. The from hate to lurve cliché

Everyone knows about this silly cliché and yes I really hate it too. When two heroic characters meet for the very first time and are forced to work together, they HATE each others guts to the point where they just want to murder one another. But as the story progresses in a very short space of time they are now suddenly in LURVE and just can't bare to be away from one another. Observe...
One hour later...
O_o...................................................I'm not even going to dignify this pure stupidity with a response! >:( Moving on...

4. The sidekick dies a heroic death cliché

And last but not least this Gem. In some stories and especially if the creator wants to give more of an impact to his/her audience, a character has to die who is usually the hero's sidekick and the death itself is always an heroic one proving to everyone (and the hero) they are not so much a weak loser afterall. Now of course if the character is to die than the creator has to make sure we give a shite otherwise what's the point? But what are the clues that a certain character/sidekick is going to die? Observe...
Now tell me Peeps what is wrong with this picture? Want moi to tell you? The Sidekick has just committed the most biggest, ultimate, sinful curse of all in storytelling history...HE'S JUST SPOKEN ABOUT HIS FAMILY!!!!! O_o As soon as the hero's sidekick mentions one word of his family you know that he is F***ED!!!!! O_o
Oh so sad, poor Pertwee! :'( But hey if it makes the hero and Pertwee's family feel any better at least now they can name the unborn child after Pertwee out of respect. Moral of the story kids? Never, EVER mention your family or else you will die, die DIE! R.I.P. good ol' dear Pertwee.

There you have it. These are just the four clichés I decided to talk about and of course there are many more. If anyone has any clichés in mind which annoy them the most and would like me to put my own interpretation of it, please don't be shy to let them me know and I'll make them out of your requests. ;)

And before I bring this latest Post to a close here's a brief Update for the BAA Comp. I'm currently on the storyboarding process right now which I will post up on this Blog at a later date. But before I go here's a small treat. If anyone saw this lovely comment from an Anonymous user, this person thought my Sheep is kinda sexy which I think is pretty amusing. :D So Anonymous, whoever you are and if you're reading this latest entry, this is for you...
Just my way of saying thanks for your support and suggestions, I really appreciate it. :) I hope you continue visiting and enjoying my Blog. ;)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

Operation BAA!!!!!: Al Pasheepino's Revenge (Project Title & Concept Art)

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you the latest development of our brand new friend Al Pasheepino just like I promised. :)

As most of you should know by now from my previous Update I am entering the BAA Competition and have already come up with an idea for it involving my newest creation Al Pasheepino. Due to BAA's strange voting system I'm aiming to try and get this finished as soon as possible but at the same time I'd like it to be good so don't really want to rush it either. Currently I'm still at my Pre-Production stage hence I'm trying to get to know the character of Al Pasheepino better as you will see below with moi's concept art for him....
Yup, couldn't resist doing a Poster for this haha! :D Current project title is "Al Pasheepino's Revenge", of course that doesn't necessarily mean this title will be the final deal but so far I kind of like it. :) Oh yeah and I've also decided make his wool black because in my opinion he just looks better with it to be honest.
As usual, experimenting with his facial expressions which should be able to help me use as reference to bring him to life. ;)
Now experimenting with a couple of his body poses...With guns.
Without guns.
Guns are back.
And yes more guns. Not looking very PC at the mo is it?! O_o But don't worry folks it's really not as bad as it looks! I'm planning on using "Tom & Jerry" type violence and NOT blood, guts and gore violence.

I've got the story planned but I need someone to check my Treatment for it and so far no one's stepping up on the plate for me. :( Hopefully I'll find someone soon but for now I guess the next steps for me are the Storyboards.

And before I bring this latest Update to a close I'm just going to re-post my "To Do List". Why you ask? Well to be honest it's to help kick myself up the backside really. Since leaving UNI I've been feeling quite down and lonely, both feelings being the very last things I wanted. So what do I do everytime I feel down? I keep reminding myself what I want to do with my life and to try and be positive hence you may have noticed why I'm Updating my Blog a lot more than before. It's the only thing keeping me going at the mo.
I don't want to feel like this anymore! :( If I am to achieve my goals then I need to keep kicking myself up the backside to get there. Whew! Sorry for this sudden change of tone but needed to get that of my chest.  So yeah, everytime I'm feeling down, expect moi to keep re-posting this as a reminder to keep going and not give up. :)

Well, that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

Competition Time: I bring you Al Pasheepino BAA!!!!! 8D

Greetings and salutations my wonderful Peep Peeps! It is I once again introducing you all to more of my latest going ons in my creative life. ;)

As you could probably tell from my Title yes I’ve decided to enter a competition BUT it’s not the 11 Seconds Comp if you any of you saw my previous comments I had with Mary Bromley. I was going to enter it this Month but another competition caught my eye which is non other than the BAA (British Animation Awards) Comp! :D The 11 Seconds Comp is forever ongoing anyway so I’ve decided to Postpone my participation for now and put my full concentration towards BAA Comp instead since it's only on til Feb and trust me, I'd have to be insane NOT to take part! O_o

I won't go into detail with what I have to do for it but I will say that the brief involves Sheep...That is all you need to know for now.

So anyway quick thinking moi has already come up with an idea (how awesome is that?! :D) which oddly enough is inspired by non other than the Actor Al Pacino. I always did have a soft spot for that guy BUT that's besides the point! Where am I going with this? Well, I've decided to use my Red Eye powers to merge good ol' Al together with a Sheep and VOILA!!!!! Here are my results! :D

Neat huh? And as you could obviously tell from my current Title I have decided to call him Al Pasheepino! ;) I'm not sure whether to make is Wool white or black though? :/ Which do you guys prefer? Don't be shy to let me know. :)

It's official, my work for BAA has begun! I'll keep you guys updated via my Blog (obviously) on my progress so be sure to stay tuned. Although I've got til Feb to finish this, however, I'm aiming to try and finish this by this month. The sooner the better so please do wish moi luck! :)

And once again sorry about 11 Seconds, feel slightly sheepish (pun NOT intended) for announcing it to the entire World now. O_o

Well, that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D
