What does the future hold for this poor unfortunate Soul? Craaaaazaaaaaay Doodle Of Hope has ze answers! :p

Hey Peeeeeeeeps! It is I once again bringing more news from my weird, wacky, wonderful World! :D

First of all I am please to announce that the Film "Bitter Critter" has finally been completed BUT...I'm not going to Upload it mwahahahaha! >:D Well...Not yet anyway. I'm going to be entering it into Film Festivals first so you lovely people may not be able to finally see it for some time.

Secondly I need to talk about the future. I'm now on my way out from Uni and will be facing the big, bad, scary World out there for the first time on my own. I'm not going to lie, I am nervous of what my Future will be. In fact I'm currently trying to gather ideas of what to do next to keep carrying doing what I want in my life which is animation and illustration (obviously).

Remember the original Craaaazaaaay Doodle I illustrated with Joshua Kahan? Well I decided to go back to the image to colour  it and here's the result!

Look at it...Isn't it purrrrrrrty? All he, she or it ever needed was a bit of Make-Up. :'( So screw you Beautiful.Com! Trudie is waaaaaaay more beautiful than you arrogant, vain losers will ever be.

Errrrrr? Yeah I've decided to name the Craaaazaaaay Doodle Trudie! :D Such a nice name don't you think? ;) As well as the above I also took the liberty of trying out different colour schemes for our Dear beloved Trudie.

But wait what has Trudie got to do with this latest Update? Well truth is when I first drew this I was in one of my down moods and oddly enough this really cheered me up. Despite this Doodle not being drawn in my normal personal style I still get fascinated everytime I look at it and would even consider this one of my best Illustrations. Which is why I've decided from this day on to call Trudie my Craaaaazaaaaay Doodle Of Hope! :D Whenever in future I begin to feel down/upset/depressed I shall always look upon Trudie to guide me out of my dark place. *Sniff* :') I also plan to animate this to see what it'll be like alive so watch this space!

AND NOW...Moving on! :p As many of you know by now I've been studying animation for 3 Years and now that I'm nearly finished I plan to continue down this path. Below is my brand new Showreel of 2011 featuring the highlights of my animated pieces of work so far including a few scenes from my latest Film "Bitter Critter" so Fans of Lucius The Squirrel take a sneak peak at how the Film looks like ;).

But what now? What's going to happen to moi? Well fear not my darling Peep Peeps I am NOT going anywhere! This is the path I've chosen and I shall stick to it! Hell I've even taken the liberty of writing this "To Do" List below... (Note: The priorities are in no particular order.)

I have deliberately made this "To Do" List Public for the entire World to see, therefore, I've got absolutely NO excuse to back out now! I have to stick to this whether I like it or not and you lovely lot have the right to pull me up and question whether I've achieved any of these personal goals in yet to come.

And now to bring about my final conclusion for this latest Update as the below image explains...

Yes that's right Peep Peeps, Uni life may be over but now this New Chapter in my life is only the beginning. If I want things to happen I've got to make them happen, it's all up to me now...AS GOD AS MY WITNESS I SHALL SUCCEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Awwwwwwww damn! I want to ride on Pegasus now. :'( Hey I've just had a "bright" idea! I shall illustrate myself riding Pegasus! :D And what's more I'm going to give Pegasus 5 Heads just to be more "original" haha! ;D Yes! think I'll do just that! :p Looks my future is looking bright already. ;)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D In the not too distant future of course! ;p

Get Ready Everyone...Lucius' Day Is Rising Upon Us! :D (And Shout-Out)

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you the latest development to the Squirrel Project and I am pleased to announce the Film is nearly finished and I am now at my Editing Stage! :D

I'm not going to go into too much details but below are a couple images I'd like to share...

The above Image is my Movie Style Poster which I must add isn't finished yet but I'll worry about that after I've actually finished the Film. :p

And the above 2 Images are the Screen Grabs from the Film so far and what they're about well I'm NOT going to tell you that...You'll just have to wait and see. ;p

And in case you're wondering the Backgrounds are done by non other than the brilliant Salomeja Marcauskaite who herself is also an Animator/Illustrator so if you like do look her up. :)

I'd love to chat some more but right now I'm terribly busy Editing my Film and with so little time to do it I hope you all appreciate this little time out I've taken just to Update this for you all.

So that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators and wish me luck! :D

Almost...THERE!!!!! :D

Hey Peeps! It is I bringing you the latest developments of our favourite bitter critter Lucius The Squirrel! :D

As you all know I'm still in full Animation Production and as you can all see from my Linked Vimeo Video I'm half way done (Animation wise)! :D

Of course some of the Scenes you've seen already whereas the majority you haven't. I aim to finish ALL my Animation by this Friday so that moi will be able to begin and complete the clean-ups, colouring and editing ASAP! O_o Bear in mind that I've only got 4 Weeks left to complete this baby so please my fellow Friends and Followers do wish me luck! :)

And before I bring this latest beauty to a close I've got just got 1 word to say...Josiah!

Wait! What's this you ask? What's with the name Josiah? Well...If you remember my previous Illustration from Months back involving a Mutant Vampire (as can be seen here and here) I've just come up with a brand new Character which kind of involves re-working on the Mutant Vampire. It's like my "ideal" man you could say. Good God you guys must be thinking I've gone insane O_o and you're right I have, only someone truly insane would think of this as an "ideal" man (hey at least I admit it ;p)! But...Why name him Josiah? Because I LOVE giving my Characters random names when they clearly don't suit them...It's funny! :D Don't know when but look out for Josiah in the future! ;)

And that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

Lucius...Let There be LIFE!!!!! :D

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you the latest developments on our lovely but bitter Friend Lucius The Squirrel.

Of course as many of you know by now I am indeed currently in full Production so instead of still images I'm going to give you a few Sneak Peaks at a couple of the Animations Tests I've done so far.

The 1st footage above are 2 of the most craziest Scenes in the film which I actually Animated first. As you know it's ALWAYS best to  get the hard scenes out the way, saves all of the hassle and panic attacks for later on. ;) Personally I'm really pleased with how they've turned out! Don't know my own strength. :)

The 2nd footage above are one involving a Lip Synch scene (no sound BTW) and the latter a "creepy crawl". I quite like how the Lip Synch  scene turned out, all it really needs is some In-betweens and it's done! :) But the "creepy crawl" on the other hand I'm not quite sure about. In fact I don't think it even worked to be honest. :/ Either it needs more In-betweens OR I may have to Animate it all over again. Ugh! HATE it when that happens. >:(

The 3rd and final footage involves 2 different hand Scenes and 1 of Lucius laughing. Just like the first footage I also feel the above works pretty well. What's especially interesting is the fact that Lucius laughing and the muscular hand are both only 3 Frames each! O_o Just goes to show you don't need to Animate tons of pictures to get a brilliant movement haha! :D Now the creepy hand obviously had a lot of Frames (I think it's 30 Frames if memory serves me right but I'm not quite sure) but of course Scenes do indeed need more Frames then others and besides...Whenever you see the final result it's just so worth it so it's no biggie at all.
Starting to feel a little more positive about this Project now. :)

Now some of you guys may remember that there was a Dog involved in this Film right? Well I have just given him a massive Re-Design and the bottom images are the results! :)

A Dog who you could say is indeed shamelessly in touch with his feminine side :p haha! :D I've even taken the liberty of giving him a name and it shaaaaaaall beeeeeeeeeee....*Drum Roll" BUTCH!!!!! :D

But...What has Butch got to do with this Film you ask? Like I'm going to tell you! :p You're all going to have to wait till the Film is finished. ;)

Now that my latest Blog Update time is done, moi needs to get back to Animating ASAP O_o  so that's all for now folks and until next time...

See ya later Navigators! :D

"The Origin Of Sloth" And The Latest Developments Of Our Favorite Bitter Critter

Heeeeeeeeey Peeeeeeeeeeps! It is I once again bringing you more latest developments in the craaaazaaaay World of MOI!!!!! :D

Remember Months back when I did The 7 Deadly Sins how I wasn't too comfortable with Sloth's original Colour Scheme and considered testing out a more Brownish/Owlish type Colour instead?

Although the original Purplish/Blueish Colour Scheme HAS indeed grown on me now however, I've decided to give it a go anyway and VOILA!!!!! Here is ze result! :D

I've got to say it truly is amazing how much difference Colours make but of course I'm pretty damn sure you don't need me tell you that eh? ;p

Another reason I've done this is because today I'm taking a small break from the Squirrel thus now's a good time to work on some of my future projects and in this case "The Origin Of Sloth" which I plan to make as a way to introduce "The 7 Deadly Sins" Villians into a Series I've ALWAYS dreamt about making since I was young (which I'm still trying to work on, got to get the Story right first afterall).

"The Origin Of Sloth" will also be taking on a much more serious tone unlike my of other Stories which whilst the tones were/are still Dark BUT they had fun elements of humour within. I admit this WILL be a challenge since "serious" Stories isn't really my thing and just tend to really depress me to be honest :/ but hey what can you do? We've ALL got to try something different every now and again if we want to survive in this Creative Industry.

Speaking of the Squirrel I have of course officially gone into Production now! :D Here are the current Animation Tests!

After so many changes and tweaks I've decided to just go for it now and if I do need to make changes I can just do it during Production since changes DO indeed happen from time to time during production anyway.

I'll try and keep you all Updated on it's progress as much as possible but as you all know Animation is really time consuming so I'll be very, VERY busy.

Also bare in mind I've only got 2 Months to complete this so I'll be spending my whole Easter Holidays working on this (no rest for the wicked O_o) so please wish moi luck!

That's all for now folks and until next time...

"Seasons Of Khadambi" Animation Film

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you another Update from the wonderful crazy World of with moi's...But this time a FINALLY completed Animated piece YAYZ!!!!! :D And no it's NOT the Squirrel (I've only just got into full production for it) and it's also not my usual crazy style but good enough piece to be proud of in it's own right. To be honest I actually finished this film a long time ago (back in November 2010) but I was under contract to NOT show it anywhere until after it was exhibited which I now CAN haha! :D

As part of our UNI Course one of the Units we had to complete was the "The Live Project". The scary thing about the "The Live Project" was the fact that this time we had to work for a REAL client therefore we really couldn't afford to screw up this time.

In our case our client were The National Trust where we had to animate a moving image of how we personally felt about the house of the late, great Kenyan artist, poet, author and mathmagician Khadambi Asalache (who resided in London).

Now I along with Natalie Young had already worked with The National Trust previously on their Sound Project for the house (in fact it was this very project where my Lucius The Bitter Squirrel story first originated from) and while that was a fun, interesting project however; since the 2 of us are both animators this time we REALLY had to show what we're capable of.

So for the project our class split into 4 Groups, I was in Group 3 with Dimitri Nicolai, Orunmilla Williams and Yang Zhang. Together we came up with an idea that Khadambi's house very much had a very seasonal feel to it so decided to do a non narrative, 4 seasons piece in his tribute.

I was also the Producer of the project and as an animator I animated the falling Snowflakes for the Winter season and the Autumn Plants for the Autumn Season.

I'll be honest this isn't really my normal style. I'm more of a crazy, surreal and eccentric storyteller at heart but like I said this project wasn't about me and what the client wants the client gets; who am I to argue. Despite being out of my comfort zone however I have to say I am indeed really pleased with our this film turned out. After all it may not be my normal style but it does show what us I can do if the time calls for me to try something different for someone else.

This film along with the 3 other groups in our class is currently being shown at the Geffrye Museum in Hoxton/Hackney so if you enjoyed this piece please do check out my other friends' pieces as well since they are all brilliant Khadambi tribute films in their own rights.

Anyways enjoy the film!

That's all for now folks and until next time...

The Frank Frazetta Tribute Competition Image (Or What Could've Been), Squirrel Update And Possible Future Story

Hey Peeps! :D It is I once again bringing you the latest additions to my Magical Blog in Ze World Nutty moi! ;)

Remember Months back when I was trying to enter The Frank Frazetta Tribute Competiton? Whatever happened to it you ask? Well this was my intended entry which as you can see has never been completed.

What I had planned in my mind was to give a somewhat a much more humourus take on Frank Frazetta's Style but still have an Epic feeling from within. Of course as you all may know it was originally The Tentacled Harpie Image but I overdid it and it ended up being quite Cartoony instead which I really wasn't that comfortable with. Don't get me wrong the Image was nice in itself but you could hardly call Frank Frazetta's Style "Cartoony" now can you? So of course I decided to start again and oh behold that's where the above image comes in.

Story here is that the Warrior is playing the oh ever so "Epic" Game of Chess with a a Giant Winged Serpent. The Warrior Dude of course is Winning and the Winged Serpent is PISSED and tries his damnest to stop him from beating him and hence Ze Epic Battle to Win this ultimate Chess Game begins! :D Don't worry Winged Serpent there's always the "Epic" Game of Twister! ;)

So what happened? Well first of all I kept trying to improve the Winged Serpent because I didn't really like the way he looked (still don't to be honest :/) and secondly I got a bit cocky and thought "Oh I've got plenty of time! Oh I could do this tomorrow!" But as the Deadline got closer I got ill O_o and didn't have the energy so of course I missed the Deadline. :(
Just roughs of trying to get the Winged Serpent right.

I admit it was my fault, moral of the Story kids? Never, EVER leave anything til the last minute mmkay? ;p

I will try and finish this Image once and for all evantually but for now Lucius The Squirrel of course takes my full pirority.

Speaking of which here are the latest developments of Lucius now. I've actually got more images but unfortunately my Blog Upload is being a little bit of a Biatch at the mo so these are the only 3 Images I could Upload at the mo. Better than nothing eh? :/

I'll try again later tonight to Re-Edit this latest Post but can't promise I'm afraid.

And to bring this latest Update to a close below is an image of my possible future Story "Severus And The Children Of Benjero Callum".

Not my best Illustration ever I admit, plenty of flaws here but it's just a rough so I can live with that.

Apart from the "GANTO Revival" Project this is a quite an ambitious Project to be honest. Ideally I'd LOVE for it to be a Feature Film but I've got to be realistic here right now it's just me. Don't get me wrong I do intend on Teaming up with my Friends from UNI again and working with them in future but bare in mind that we're ALL going to be very, VERY busy Bunnies so at the mo I'm considering making this into a one off Mini-Comic/Manga Series instaed for now. :)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

WHAT'S UP LUCIUS?! AND BUSINESS CARD GALORE!

Heeeeeeey what's up Peeps?! :D It is I once again bringing you more wonderful Squirrel Updates!

But first...Business Card!

As you can see below is my Business I FINALLY got down to making (WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overdue)! I really like what I've done so far BUT I want make sure it definately works before releasing this to the whole wide world (haha sounds like an animal! :D) so any tips and feedbacks would be very much apprciated thank you. :)

Now onto our dear old good friend Lucius The Squirrel! :D

As you can see I've re-designed him (AGAIN) to make him a lot more simpler and cuter and this time I truely do believe it works! :D
As well as Character Designs I've now finally got down onto doing Keyscenes and Storyboards. Below are these very rough Keyscenes and Storyboards now! ;)

BUT...They are in NO particular order and right now I'm not too comfortable talking about the Story itself at the mo because I'm still giving the Story a few tweaks here and there. Hell some of the Scenes you're seeing below might NOT even be used in the end! After all it all depends on what works and what doesn't work really. So just take a look anyway to see my little work in progress.

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

THE GOLDEN, TENTACLED HARPY YAYZ!!!!! :D UPDATE FOR THE SAKE OF UPDATE

Hey Peep Peeps! It is I once again bringing you another addition of my Illustrational Art!

Well actually Tentacled Harpy as you all know by now isn't new BUT I have FINALLY Coloured it in! :D WOOHOO!!!!! Go me! Woot! Woot! 8D

To be honest I have been trying to Colour The Tentacled Harpy for some time now but this has undoubtly been the most hardest Image of mine to Colour thus far. Hell even harder than Greed! O_o

I just couldn't find the right Colours at all until last night I tried Gold and the rest was history! :)

I love how Colours have now suddenly become my brand new best Friend haha! :D Wheareas before I'd have just left ALL my Images in Black & White, however, ever since I've taken up this Medium I just can't help but Colour everything in now! :D

That's development for you eh? ;)

If you're wondering about latest developments of Lucius The Squirrel fear not my Dears for I am still working on him and to be honest I'm not ready to Update the latest developmets so far because I still need some time to tweak just a little bit more and as the good old Cleaner from the wonderful "Toy Story 2" nicely puts it..."You can't rush Art!"

I made an oath to myself to ALWAYS Update my Blog at least once a Month. Of course ideally I'd prefer to do it more than once but I'm a very, VERY busy woman so I could only do the best I can. What I've done right now is a good example, no matter how small the Update it's better than nothing huh? ;p So I hope you guys enjoy my latest Colour work! :)

That's all for now folks and until next time...

HIS NAME IS...LUCIUS!!!!! ANOTHER BITTER UPDATE

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing you even more wonderful Updates of our little Bitter Friend! :D

I've FINALLY given the Squirrel a name and it shall be...LUCIUS!!!!! :D And after much consideration I've decided to keep Lucius cute throughout the Film afterall since it'll make his bitterness even more creepier! :p
Final Turnaround of Lucius here. (Well truly do hope it's FINAL this time anyway.)

After looking into BOTH Gollum and Preston Blair I've decided to combine the 2 and...Voila! Here is Ze result! :D

I have to say I think he looks a lot better now actually not too mention more life like even! :p
He may be staying cute but that doesn't mean I want his face to stay stiffly cute, he must have LIFE DAMMIT!!!!!

I also believe Eyes in the wonderful world of animation always tells us an awful lot of story of a Character and how he/she is feeling hence it's the Eyes I'm planning on staying focus on.
After receiving useful some Feedback from my Peers I took their advice and looked into the work of Preston Blair taking on-board how he Designed Squirrels.

As awesome as he is (or was) I don't really want to copy TOO much of his Style hence just a case of taking aspects I like and making it my own. :p
YUP!!!!! Just a much more cutesy wutesy, simpler look of his facial close-up.

I really liked the Feedback that he should stay cute throughout because it'll just make his bitterness more creepier.

So what do you think? Constructive criticisms welcomed. :)

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...

HUNCHBACK SQUIRRELS OF NOTRE DAME!!!!! A.K.A. SQUIRREL UPDATE!

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing your more Updates on our favorite Bitter Critter! :D

Latest Sketches for my Squirrel Film so far.

Before I go back tweaking the Squirrel (just little bit to make him more simpler) I've decided that the best thing to do first is take a closer look at Squirrels and I have to I'm actually surprised at how curled up Squirrels' backs REALLY are! O_o

Amazing the things we don't really notice until we take a closer look huh? :/
And as you can tell these Skethces aren't my usual Style but hey it's research and sometimes you NEED to do somthing outside your usual comfort zone otherwise how else are you going to learn huh? ;)
Well that's all for now folks until next time...

TURNAROUND...BOG-EYES! O_o SQUIRREL UPDATE

Hey Peeps! It is I once again bringing more Updates in perticulor...THE SQUIRREL!!!!! :D

Here are the Character Turnarounds I've done of my little Bitter Friend to help me develop him into a more 3-Dimensional Character and life like...In my very own Surreal, Twisted way! :p
The Squirrel in his young, handsome, cutesy, wutesy cheerful self Turnaround.

In case your wondering he's meant to be doing a thumbs up but it backfired and now his hand gesture just looks...Weird. :/
The Squirrel in his older, ugly, angry, miserable bitter self Turnaround.

Even his Teeth and Claws are starting to look monsterous now haha! :D
The Squirrel in his even MORE, uglier, angry, miserable, depressed, brittle, rotting bitter self Turnaround.

I have to say this actually turned out much, MUCH better than I expected haha! :D My favorite Design so far. :)
Yeah, his Turnaround was quite big hence why I've done it on 2 Sheets of Paper! :p

Well that's all for now folks and until next time...
